The structure of the window
The structure of the window is the construction and its constituent elements.
PVC windows can have different design features however their constituent elements remain permanent:
• Double-glazed window
• Frame
• Impost
• Leaf
• Accessories
Double-glazed window is the transparent part of PVC window which consists of several glasses between which there is an air gap. By virtue of double-glazed window, PVC window has such advantages as sound insulation, heat insulation, protection from moisture and dust.

Frame is immovable element of the window. It is made of PVC-profile. Impost-constructional element which is used to divide the frame into parts. It is made of PVC-profile.
Leaf – movable element of the window which is fixed to the frame. It is made of PVC-profile, double-glazed window, accessories and fillet.
Accessories – system of mechanisms which creates such functions as opening, closing, fixation of PVC windows.
Window jamb – lateral surfaces of window embrasure.
The basis of the structure of PVC window is its profile. For PVC window production, the following standard set of profiles is used: frame and leaf profiles, fillet, reinforcing profiles, etc.
PVC profile is hollow plastic form inside of which there is metal carcass which provides the rigidity of window system, water-allocating channels, filters and seals. PVC profile is weather resistant. It provides high level of heat and sound insulation.

Frame PVC - profile is used to create the main construction of PVC window.
Leaf PVC - profile is used in production of leaves and other opening elements of the window.
Reinforcing profile - steel amplifying element of the window which is inside of PVC-profile and is used to provide the necessary rigidity of PVC window constructions.
Fillet - plastic lath is used to fix the double-glazing window.
